A lot of Nolly wood celebrities have been victims of social media fraud and bullying. Recently a woman was said to have impersonated the popular Hausa actress, Hadiza Gabon by requesting money from lecherous men on social media.

The suspect was later apprehended by Adamawa State police after getting the information.

The suspect confessed how she opened an account with the name of the actress using her picture as decoy to  her unsuspecting fans.

According to Hadiza, she said she has been receiving calls from her fans who express disappointment over her incessant demands of money.  When she contacted the lady who was impersonating her, she urged her to desist from denting her image but she did not heed until law of Karma caught up with her.

In her words, “I begged her on facebook to please stop dragging my name in the mud but she told me I was the one impersonating her, that she was the real Hadiza Gabon.”

The actress who flew from Kano to Yola to see the suspect warned the general public to beware of impostors who use her name and pictures to defraud people on social media.
