Popular Nollywood actress Stephanie Linus has premiered her award winning movie”dry” in Gambia.

The movie talks about a real life story of a young girl named Aisha, the teenager who had to endure a life not designed for a child: to be married to a man who was more than four times her age.

It was nominated six times at different categories in including Best Movie -West Africa, Best Cinematographer, Best Art Director, Best Director and Best Makeup Artist.

The movie also took home in the award for Best Sound Editor (Marquex Jose Guillermo) and Best Costume Designer (Uche Nancy).

In March 5 , it became the Best Overall Movie Africa at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards on Saturday.

It is a topnotch movie that earned the actress the Stephanie her first film award for  at the Geena Davis and ARC Entertainment’s inaugural Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) in Arkansas, USA.

It also earned Linus the best actress in a leading role award while the movie became the overall best film.

The movie features Darwin Shaw as Dr. Alex, the legendary Liz Benson Ameye as the Matron and Bill McNamara as Dr. Brown.
