Veteran actor, Keppy Ekpenyong while training participants at the AFA training for upcoming actors

Africa Film Academy (AFA), organizers of the AMA Awards alongside Progressive Volunteers Group and Cinematographers Society of Nigeria are training upcoming actors, film producers and creatives.

The training is holding in Port Harcourt, Rivers State for creatives and upcoming acts in the South-South region of Nigeria. The workshop which would last for one week kicked off on Sunday, August 22 and would end Sunday 29th August.

Sunday training started with a virtual Cinematography/Photography Class for participants. It continued physically on Monday with participants getting lectured on acting by veteran actors, Keppy Ekpenyong and Fred Amata.

The training is aimed at giving participants deep knowledge of the art and also the business aspect of movie-making. It is also one of the many ways employed by the AFA to improve the quality of film produced in Nigeria.
