The National Honours Award Investiture ceremony took place at the International Conference Centre, (ICC) in Abuja on Tuesday.

Some notable Nigerian entertainers were yesterday awarded National Honours by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The entertainers were honoured for distinguishing themselves in the service of the nation and humanity.

The initiative for the National Honours was instituted by Act No. 5 of 1964 which empowers the President to honour Nigerians and friends of the country with remarkable feats every year.

Teniola Apata, simply known as Teni joined the list of awardees when she was awarded Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) by President Buhari.

Burna Boy
Grammy-award-winning singer, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy was conferred with Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) honour.

KWAM 1
Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal aka KWAM 1 was conferred with the rank of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) by President Buhari.

2Baba
Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba, received the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) award from the President.

Emeka Rollas Ejezie
Actor and President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas Ejezie, was awarded national honours in the rank of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).

Mosunmola Abudu (Mo Abudu)
Media personality and entrepreneur Mo Abudu received the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) honour.
