The home based super eagles booked a place in the quarter finals of the CHAN Nations cup in Morocco by defeating fellow neighbors Equatorial Guinea 3-1 ON Tuesday night.

Nigeria started very poor in the first half, Equatorial Guinea were in the front with a 1-0 lead before halftime courtesy of Nsi Eyama.

Nigeria had to up their game in the 2nd half and the scored was leveled thanks to a stunning header from Anthony Okpotu.

In the 69th minute Dayo Ojo gave Nigeria the lead before Rabiu Ali sealed the winning from the penalty spot in the 81st minute.

Nigeria finished as the group winner with seven points and is yet to lose a match, Libya also advance with a late win over Rwanda as runner up with six points and is also in the quarter finals.
