An exclusive evening of live and exhilarating afrobeat music headlined by the legendary Femi Kuti. The event which is open to only a select number of guests will feature the afrobeat master performing music off his latest album “One People One World” and other classics such as “Beng Beng Beng” “Shoki” “Sorry Sorry” etc.

“A Night With Femi Kuti” will take place at the Pool Bar, Sheraton Lagos Hotel on the 22nd of September 2018 from 6pm.

Tickets for the event are available at Sheraton Lagos as well as online at the NetShop for N25,000 premium tickets and N300,000 for a table of six respectively.

Guest are advised to dress comfortably for the event as Femi Kuti and his band The Positive Force are famous for energetic music bound to get audiences in a dancing mood.

ABOUT FEMI KUTI

Born Olufela Olufemi Anikulapo Kuti on June 12, 1962, in London. Femi grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, where, at 15, he started playing the saxophone in his father’s band, Egypt 80. In 1986 he formed his own band, the Positive Force.

In 2001 he collaborated with Common and Mos Def on Fight to Win, an effort to cross over to a mainstream audience, and started touring the United States with Jane’s Addiction. In 2004 he opened The New Afrika Shrine, his club, where he recorded the live album Africa Shrine. After a 4-year absence, he re-emerged in 2008 with Day by Day and Africa for Africa in 2010, for which he received two Grammy nominations

In 2012 he was inducted into the Headies Hall of Fame (the most prestigious music awards in Nigeria), was featured on the Red-Hot Chili Peppers’ European Arena Tour and became an Ambassador for Amnesty International.

Femi continues to expand the diversity of his artistry over his 40-year career and recently released his seventh album One People One World.
