Following the death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi, at least nine persons, including Ifeanyi’s nanny and cook, have been arrested by the police in Lagos State in connection with his death.

Recall that Ifeanyi, the three years old son of singer Davido, drowned on Monday, October 31, 2022, inside the family’s swimming pool in Banana Island, Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that all members of the singer’s domestic staff are currently in police custody.

The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed on Tuesday morning after the report of Ifeanyi’s death went viral.

Nigeriacrime.com learned that the DMW boss and his fiance, Chioma Rowland were away from the house when the boy drowned in a pool at his father’s house in Banana Island on Monday.

According to the Lagos PPRO, a preliminary investigation is currently ongoing to unravel what led to the boy’s death.

He said, “Domestic staff at Davido’s home have been taken to the station to give their account of what happened. I wouldn’t call that arrest yet.

“If after they all give their account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, if anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest”.

Chioma is broken. David is in tears. They are both at his dad’s house in Lekki and nobody from 30BG is allowed there. His 30th birthday plans have been put on hold. The real story is crazy. How the toddler opened a huge thick door and got outside, nobody knows.

Meanwhile, celebrities have continued to express sadness about the incident.

Lasisi Elenu wrote; Father heal your children’s hearts from this pain, strengthen them in such a dark and hurtful time oh Lord

Actor Williams Uchemba who also reacted to the report disclosed that he prayed for it to be a lie.

He wrote; I said I won’t believe anything on SM until I confirm myself. I prayed for it to be a lie.

I am upset, pained and confused.

Nobody deserves to feel this pain.

Please Say a Prayer for David, Chioma and the entire family. Nobody deserves this kind of pain. Rest up Little one.
