Fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi better known as Pasuma has been heavily criticized by fans for throwing jibes at an older senior colleague, Alhaji Abass Qudus, popularly known as Obesere.

Pasuma, who just celebrated 50, was seen in a live concert video entitled ‘My Story ,’ saying that Obesere is not in his class, age wise. He was alleged to have said that though Obesere started music before him, recorded an album before and was even present at his first album launch, he still knows his age and counterparts.

He said in the video that when he launched his first album, ‘Recognition’ in 1993, Obesere was the star artiste of the night.

In the video, he also called Sule Alao Malaika his boy, a statement that didn’t also go down well with many Fuji fans.

This demeaning and satirical statement was said to have drawn the ire of Fuji fans and stakeholders who believe those statements are signs of “ungratefulness,” bad mannerism and egoism.”

Speaking, a Facebook fan named Segun Olakusibe said: “How could Pasuma say all those senseless things? He’s such an ingrate? How old is he? Is he even up to 50 years old if not that we just kept silent? How old are his managers, Edidowo Matthew and Taiye Balinga? They are older than him and they have not celebrated 50. Pasuma should just keep shut abeg!”

Another Facebook user who goes by the name Akeem Akinwale said, “this is just how ungrateful people can be. I remember vividly in those days if Obesere travels abroad, he will always come back home with plenty of gifts for all these artistes, including Pasuma. I could remember that the first wireless mic Pasuma used, it was Obesere that bought it for him. This is how people bite the finger that fed them when they are a bit comfortable.”

Another user, Ibraheem Ganiyu Gib said: “What exactly does Pasuma want now? I would have loved him to be grateful to God for being favored, rather than igniting unnecessary controversy. Asides Osupa, Malaika and Atawewe’s cases, claiming age seniority over Obesere in this clip is ridiculous and rude. Haba!”

Muni-Yisau Wasiu posted this picture and asked:

Paso and Obesere in those days.

See Paso that is claiming seniority between him and Sidophobia ..

Who is more matured here ?

However, while the video is currently raising dust in the media and also gathering much controversies, benconews.com in our usual style put a call to Obesere to get his reaction, but he declined to say anything on the matter despite all entreaties. We also tried to reach Pasuma but his numbers were not reachable as at the time of filing this report.
