Babatunde Usman better known as Okele is a comic actor, film maker, comedian, entrepreneur and brand influencer.

He is currently hospitalised from an ailment which is not disclosed.

It could not be ascertained if the news making the rounds that he has relapsed into coma is true

This is coming on the heel of the death of four Nollywood actors in the past one month.

The latest being the BOT Chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria Prince Ifeanyi Dike.

Tunde Usman popularly known as Okele is a Nigeria Actor, Producer and MC in the Yoruba movie industry. Babatunde Usman was born on 18 July.

He was born in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara state, South-western part of Nigeria.

He had his primary school education in Ilorin, before he later moved to Lagos.

When asked how he got the name Okele, he explained that “Okele” is just a stage which he got when he acted as a king’s guard in a film ‘Akoda Oba’ produced by Amuda.

He has since then appeared in more than 150 Yoruba movies. He has starred and produced a few movies which includes “Kosofe”, “Orin Dola”, “ljoba Ose kan” and many more. The veteran actor is known for his comedic acts.

He has won himself awards on occasions which includes;

City People Movie Award Ftoyin aor Comic Actor Of The Year (Yoruba) and Best Comedy Movie For “Ijoba Ose Jan” at YOFAMA (2014).

One of his closeat friend in the Yoruba movie industry is Muyideen Oladapo popularly known as Lala. They have been together for years and they support and encourage each other through thick and thin. He once revealed that Lala encouraged him alot whenever things does not seems to be working fine.

Babatunde Usman is happily married and blessed with two children, a male and a female.
