Nollwood actress and Senior Special advisor (SSA), to Kogi State Governor, Mercy Johnson is putting together a talent hunt show tagged, GYB Talent, to help sons and daughters of Kogi state who are interested in Nollywood to take their first step into stardom.
The talent hunt is not the gist we want to have. What then are we interested in? After passing through the poster announcing the events, we discovered that of all the judges that will oversee the audition; there is no single judge from Kogi State. This is particularly worrisome given the number of gifted entertainers from Kogi State.
The Judges for the talent hunt show are Bimbo Akintola, Frank Raja, Francis Duru, and Mercy Johnson. Nigeriafilms.com‘s question is, what is the issue that made Mercy to ignore her fellow countrymen,? Did they oppose her appointment and now she is keeping them at arms lent? Or is she just afraid that giving other Kogi born entertainers a chance to be part of the reality show will jeopardies her position as SSA, given the fact that some Kogi entertainers may come in with smarter ideas that will dispose her of her position.
Whatever the situation it would have been good to see our screen diva run her talent hunt in a family atmosphere.
