Singer Brymo got himself in trouble when he went philosophical when he talked about the suffering of the black man. Nigerians didn’t spare him for making such a stereotypical statement, but he refused to let his stance on the matter die.

He said “Black man suffers at home, black man suffers abroad. Black man suffers everywhere, black man likes to suffer. Good, now we need black ppl everywhere to do same, we need our music to stop being about swag and champagne and hoes .That we need to make it a point to preach value in all that we do, not every day money money money…  That’s the problem, black ppl feel helpless, we are not… We are lazy and illogical!!  It’s not philosophy, it’s just facts… Take off the veil that’s hindering your sight.”

He went on to say “On the grounds that we don’t solve our problems, we just play blame games… It’s in our homes and workplace.  True. We just need to free ourselves from whatever hold others have on us.. We should decide the outcome of our story . True.We just need to free ourselves from whatever hold others have on us.. We should decide the outcome of our story “

He was blasted “Brymo slowly becoming the John Mayer of Nigerian music……lovely music…but off-colour statements on social media making him easy to hate,” Twitter user said, and another added, “It appears Brymo is an idiot.”
