Late Actress Jumoke Aderounmu died in her sleep – Brother

Adeola, the younger brother to a recently deceased actress, Jumoke Aderounmu, has revealed that the late thespian died in her sleep.

According to Adeola, who described the late actress as an introvert, she was not sick.

Adeola said, “She was an introvert, and usually kept to herself. She was actually not sick. She just died in her sleep.”

He stated that the deceased had plans to travel outside the country before her demise.

Adeola said the Jumoke, popularly known for her role of Esther in the popular sitcom, ‘Jenifa’s Diary’, had plans to relocate to the UK, because she was not getting movie roles.

Speaking in an interview on Saturday, the bereaved lamented that death snatched the wish of his sister from her.

Speaking on why he decided to address the issue of popular actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, openly instead of reaching her privately, Adeola claimed not to have her number.

He said, “I did not reach out to her (Funke), because I don’t have her phone number, and I am not close to her. But, my sister had her number, and even sent another actress, Paschaline Alex to her, all to no avail.

“She (Funke) stopped calling her for jobs. Jumoke tried to know why because she wanted to retrace her steps if she had committed any offense.”

He added that though Jumoke had been buried, the family would organise a tribute event in a church on the 40th day after her death.
