Popular Yoruba actress Madam Abiola Atanda also known as Madam Kofo has revealed reason why she has not got many movie roles to play in the industry recently because it is now a cult.
She said that there is high possibility of the existence of cult in the industry, were if you don’t belong, you won’t be given a role to play.
She stated during an interview that unless you belong to such cult you may not be given many roles to play. In her words,” Maybe it’s now a cult, that if you don’t belong, they won’t use you. But I feel I don’t have to go to them. I don’t have to beg anybody for roles. When they see me, they ask for my card and I give them, but they don’t bother to call back.
Madam Kofo has really made her mark in the industry especially with her skyscraping headgears (gele) which makes her distinct from every other person.
She is now a member of Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) and the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANTAP).
