The fight between the Fulani and Hausa Groups at the abattoir in the Hausa community of Oko-Oba area of Agege, Lagos State, yesterday recorded the death of a man and many others seriously injured.

The fight started when a young Hausa girl was beaten by a Fulani man over what has not been disclosed as at the time of report. The girl ran home in tears as she told her parents. Some irate Hausa youths took it upon themselves and engaged the Fulani’s in a fight for beating their sister.

The two groups fought with many dangerous weapons including machetes. But for the timely intervention of the Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Olatunji Disu, alongside the Area G Commander who came to remedy the situation, a lot of havoc would have been done.
