Nigerian rapper and singer, Skales has put his past behind with former record label mate, Wizkid. Recalled that February 2015 precisely, was an unforgettable month for their fans and music enthusiasts as they both troll each other on social media.

 The former EME front liners established one of the most heated feuds on micro blogging site, Twitter, after Skales took to social media to claim he wrote one of Wizkid’s hottest songs, ‘Super Star’.

If what Skales said is anything to go by, the duo have learned to navigate their differences and speak the familiar language that unites people across the border.

“Whatever happened, happened. The past is behind now. As much as I don’t like to talk about the past anymore, it’s all positive energy now.” Skales said.

In a recent interview with Moet Abebe, Skales made some unexpected remark on his relationship with the music star now.

“Wiz is a great guy,” he told Abebe in the interview. “I can’t deny the fact that we started together. He is doing really big. We are all doing really great now, in our different ways, in our different lanes. I am inspired by his works. Big ups to him.”

When asked how their relationship has been at the initial stage of their career, Skales admits it has never been chummy-chum.

He said, “It has never been like that. It has always been about business between me and him, even back at EME we were just cool for the business and music.”

“Whatever happened, happened. The past is behind now. As much as I don’t like to talk about the past anymore, it’s all positive energy now.”

The Shake Body added he hopes they both collaborate on a project in the future.
