Nnamdi Kanu and three other IPOB members who have been charged for treason and terrorism by the Federal Government are to remain in prison after a Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday refused to grant them bail.

Justice Binta Nyako, ruled that the offences the accused were standing trial for were ordinarily not bailable, the Punch newspaper reports.

Justice Nyako held that the since case started afresh before her, there were no new facts and circumstances that could warrant her to grant bail to the accused as the charges brought against them were “serious offences”.
