When Nigerian rapper Olamide released his new song “wo!” his prayers most have been for the song to announce his name to ears that have not heard him; while ensuring his name stay on his existing fans lips.

 

Now his prayers seem to have been answered both we are not sure if it is in a way the “eniduro” crooner would have wanted.

The Federal Ministry of Health has taken to its social media account to share a frozen photograph from the video were some youths were seen smoking and the ministry is quoting the national tobacco control act of 2015 that Olamide has committed an offence by sponsoring and promoting smoking of tobacco which is an offence punishable by law.

It is not clear is the video will be ban or Olamide will be prosecuted for violating the law. Trust nigeriafilms.com to bring you the unfolding scenario.

Meanwhile, if Olamide is charged and convicted he will be charged fifty thousand or spend six months behind bars because, Section 9 of the Nigeria Tobacco Control Act 2015, once convicted, offenders are liable to a fine of at least N50, 000 and/or six months’ imprisonment.
