Princess Monisade Gbobaniyi is set to represent Nigeria in the forth coming Miss United Nations Pageant slated for next month in Jamaica. She emerged the winner of the maiden queen of Miss Global United Nations pageant held at the glamorous 10 Degrees events centre Oregun, Ikeja Lagos on June 13, 2010 and was crowned by the Jamaican High Commissioner to Nigeria, His Excellency, Amabassador Robert Miller.

The 20-year-old 200 levels Mathematics Science student of University of Lagos who defeated 15 other breath- taking beauties to clinch the crown, aside being the nation’s ambassador at the international contest in Jamaica won for herself a 2005 Nissan Maxima car, a new ward robe and an annual salary of N1million along side other mouthwatering prizes.

On her entourage as runner s up are Gbemisola Shotade and Urema Somtochukwu Onyenekwe both of who emerged 1st runner up and Racheal Ikekhuamei who won the second runner up. The new queen hails from Ondo town in Ondo State

The nite of glamour, fun and scintillating performance was attended by the crème de la crème in the entertainment industry including the Jamaican ambassador.
