Recently,Nigerian gospel singer and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey initiated a midnight praise challenge tagged “The One-Hour Midnight Hallelujah Challenge’’ and amazingly this has gone viral as it saw 50,000 virtual worshippers via his Instagram page(@nathanielblow) on Monday.

The singer had on May 31st shared on his Instagram page that it is his desire to host a multi-denominational one-hour praise and worship live session from June 1 to June 30.

He further said the aim of the programme was to worship God and bring salvation to the unsaved.

The hashtag #HallelujahChallenge is currently trending on Twitter with over 7000 tweets presently.

Nigerian Celebrities like Funke Akindele-Bello,Omoni Oboli, Don Jazzy,Kcee and Adesua Etomi are part of the huge virtual programme and are also sharing the #hallelujahchallenge# on their Instagram pages.

With all these, not everyone will be in support as definitely some haters will always rear up their opinions.

Shockingly an Instagram user identified as Temi Giwa Tubosun took to her page and wrote:

” Been asking myself why the whole #hallelelujahchallenge bugs me so much…..i get so upset when i see that hashtag and can’t explain it”

Bizarre as it sounds there was always someone to give a reply.
