Nollywood actress, Ashabi Ayantunde, aka Iya Ife, has died, the late actress died in Ile Ife, Osun state on Sunday evening, April 11 after a brief illness.

She was said to have fallen ill and rushed to Ile-Ife, Osun State where she died.

Late Iya Ife featured in several films that include Oro Aye, Terror, Atidade Kinihun, Afefe, Onibara Aje, Olori, Old Soja, and Ogbologbo. Her death comes days after another Nollywood icon Bruno Iwuoha died.

The talented Bruno Iwoha was reported to be losing his sight as a result of diabetes and glaucoma.

The news of his death was broken by his close associates and filmmaker, Derik Zai who revealed that the actor died at the National Hospital, Abuja. According to him, Chief Bruno slid into a bout of coma for about 3 weeks, and doctors tried their best to bring him to life but death proved to be stronger than life. His mortal remains have been deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.
