A 31-year old man was ran over in Lagos yesterday, Thursday, October 18, 2012 by truck that works with the Lagos State government.

The incident happened at Iyana-Itire bus stop along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway at about 4pm. The man was rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, Lagos by our man after over 30mins the incident happened because onlookers were not willing to help the man.

Sunday, who almost passed out due to delay in attending to him at the hospital, was later resuscitated after Nigeriafilms.com threatened to expose the hospital management if the man finally gives up the ghost and gets treatment like they gave late DaGrin in 2010 when he was not quickly attended to.

The truck was later towed to Itire police station while the driver of the truck was arrested.

Nigeriafilms.com gathered that Sunday lives at 1, Bajulaye Street, Fadeyi, Lagos.

Over the years, many Nigerians have only being good at being onlookers rather than helping dying accident victims. This is as a result of fear of not being held responsible by the police of murder if such accident victim eventually dies while helping them.

Responses to emergency at the hospital has also been poor as some hospital officials are after who pay the bills of the victims rather than save dying souls in need of their medical attention.

Some have called on the Nigerian government to reduce its stringent laws and treatments on sympathisers being held responsible for death of accident victims because they try to render help in saving such lives.
