Nollywood thespian, Bimbo Akintola has spoken up following the claim that Dayo Amusa’s movie, “Pathetic” is relates only to celebrities and does not reflect the society.

Reacting to this report the actress said that what the movie portrays is what most women experience and not just restricted to celebrities. A man that domestically violates a woman has issues and can do it on any woman regardless of her social status.

“It’s not just being a celebrity but her being a celebrity didn’t make it easy on the marriage in that sense. The way you can look at it from a celebrity standpoint is because everybody knows you because of your profession. Doctors are not known because of their medium but the medium for our work is television and television is something everyone has in their homes. So, because of that, we are known and things that happen to us get more attention than what happens to normal people,” she said.

The actress went on to encourage people to go see the movie when it’s out because it is an opportunity for everyone to learn from each others mistakes.

The movie which is a human angle story is set to be out by March 24, 2017.
