Nigerian actress, producer, film maker and director Yewande Adekoya who hails from Lagos state has cleared the air on the issue of her involvement in a credit card fraud.

The credit card fraud went viral late last year and according to reports, she was placed under house arrest at the United States of America.
From the recent interview, she has thrown more light on this issue stating that it was all lies and she thinks the journalist was paid to tarnish her image.

“It was a story that was deliberately cooked up to tarnish my image. I didn’t travel out of Nigeria at all in 2017 not to talk of getting arrested in the US for fraud. As at the time of the false news, the reporter falsely claimed I was under house arrest in the US since October 2017.”

“I did several live videos on IG from Lagos Nigeria when the false news went viral to prove that the story was malicious and untrue and I warned the reporter during the LIVE video sessions to desist from carrying deliberate false news about me,” She said.

Even after involving her lawyer and all of her public post on this, the journalist still insists that she was under house arrest over credit card fraud.

So should we believe the journalist or Yewande Adekoya?
