Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has revealed that she has been in a relationship “for a while” but won’t reveal the identity of her lover on social media till they get married.
The actress made this known during her diary session on the ‘Real Housewives of Lagos’, a trending reality TV series, saying she and her lover have been together for a while and she is keeping it private.
The single mother married a Lagos-based film marketer in 1999, when she was 21. Their marriage lasted three years, but produced two children—Felix and Priscilla Ajoke Ojo.
After her divorce, Iyabo Ojo had been saddled with the responsibility of taking care of her two children.
Speaking during her diary session, Ojo said she doesn’t have plans to unveil the identity of her man until they get married because he is someone who does not like to be in the public eye.
“I have someone in my life, we have been together for a while. But he is a private person. He doesn’t like the social media life. He doesn’t like to be out there,” she said.
“He likes to be on his corner because he feels like I am always been attacked online. So, he doesn’t want the social media people, my fans, my haters to drag him into it.
“I don’t think I am ready to celebrate anybody until maybe I am getting married again. But I don’t think that is even going to be possible.
“I don’t talk about my love life but yes I do have someone. Fine girl like me must get bobo now.”
Actress and filmmaker, Iyabo Ojo, said she confronted the person that molested her twice during her childhood but he denied it.
Ojo, who is one of the cast on the reality TV show, ‘Real Housewives of Lagos’, said she could only have the courage to confront the person in her thirties.
She said: “I was molested twice as a child at the ages of five and six. I was in my thirties when I confronted the person. He tried to deny it but I insisted. It is a thing of the past now but it never goes away.”
The mother of two also stated that people think she is difficult and wicked because she does not brook nonsense. She said, “People think I am difficult, wicked, hard, strict and rude. Everything negative is what people think I am. (However) I don’t take nonsense but I am a sweet person.”
