Nollywood veteran Joke Silva has debunked the rumours that her husband Olu Jacobs is dead.
Fake news that the veteran is dead made rounds on social media on Tuesday.
The 60-year-old however told The Punch that her husband is hale and hearty.
“Don’t mind them, they’re just talking rubbish; don’t disturb your head. He is in the living room right now about to have Eba and Ogbono soup. Let them keep deceiving themselves. He is hale and hearty.” she said.
The 79-year-old made headlines in 2020 after he was rumoured to be dead.
Actress Lala Akindoju who is quite close to Jacobs and his wife, Joke, however, debunked the rumour in a Twitter post saying that she spoke with the man and he was “alive and well”.
A star of several film, TV and theatre productions, Olu Jacobs has been off the acting scene for a while due to age.
