It was gathered that a pastor (name withheld) was attacked by unknown armed robbers yesterday at his residence in Naharati village, Abaji Area Council at about 2:12am.

According to a residence of the area who spoke under anonymity said yesterday that the man of God was attacked when he came out to urinate. He was forced into the house by the robbers who demanded for some money asking all members of the family to lie head down.

“Vigilantes heard the family members screaming and they rushed to the house but two of the robbers escaped and one was nabbed with the pistol he was carrying,” the resident revealed.

He furthered that two of the robbers ran away with some amount of money but the third robber was nabbed with an empty shell of pistol and handed over to the police.

The Abaji Divisional Police Officer (DPO) CSP David Kolo, who spoke on the incident said, “We have been able to arrest one among them with an empty shell of pistol and he will soon be transferred to the FCT police command, while our men are still on the trail of two others who are on the run,” he said.
