Under fire from many quarters for his vitriolics against married men and celebrity husbands, Ubi Franklin, Olakunle Churchill Oladunni, TeeBillz and others experiencing glitches in their marriages, Nollywood actor turned women rights activist, Uche Maduagwu has made a U-turn in a face-saving attempt.

In a new post, the pro-Tonto Dikeh actor now tries to balance up his posts by equally making glowing commendations on another set of celebrities whose marriages have survived scandals.

Hear him:

“Who says Nigerian men are not great husbands? Of course, there are still a few responsible men out there who have stayed with their wives all through. I know some great husbands, they take good Care of their wives, treat her like a diamond in a gentle rough. They even wash the sole of their woman’s feet with the waters of their soul… These are men of honor, men of character, men who can call their wives number uncountable times in a day just to listen to her sweet, sexy voice. Men who would rather spend the whole day with their family than being somewhere in a club with friends, or in one business meeting with clients… These are men who will never hit their woman or verbally assault her, men who believes marriage is not a fast food. We have great husbands in Nigeria, because not all men are marriage assassins anyway. But as we all can see the bad husbands have painted a very ugly picture of what marriage in the 20th century is… Our kids are watching, they are constantly being reminded that there is nothing bad in a man beating his wife, verbally assaulting her and treating her like a common object. If we don’t stand up against domestic violence, if we allow our good women to be deprived of all the happiness and joy they deserve in their marriages then posterity will judge us all. Let us call a spade a spade. Women are jewels, our wives and mothers are not punching bags for any man. If a woman can let go of her fathers name just to bear yours… That’s the greatest sacrifice of all, why can’t you also be loyal to her? Why must you treat her like a toy? Why must you allow a third party interfere in what God has joined together? Please stop creating a bad picture of the holy institution of marriage before our kids. If you are not man enough to love, care and stand with your family please do us all a big favor, stop deceiving our female celebrities. These celebs are role models to millions of Nigerians. Maturity is not by age, its a sign of responsibility, be responsible, be forgiving, if not God will multiply your punishment this year back to back”

Well, clearly, Uche was on a series with his posts on the role of men in failed celebrity marriages, but the timing with Tonto Dikeh’s rumoured crisis cast him as a mere apologist. Do you think he is meddling with issues he knows less about as some fans have already said?

Another peep at some of the things he said in his earlier posts:

“There is a new trend among some irresponsible men in Nigeria, their mission is to hijack the happiness of female celebrities, deceive them into marriage, impregnate and abandon them. They are like the devil himself, they have come to steal, to kill and to destroy. Dear Single ladies, please be careful the kind of men you say yes to, some are just demon incanates… This 2017 let your prayer point also include this, “Lord please do not allow me to fall into the hands of satanic husbands who pretend to be caring but are only stumbling blocks”. Its no news again that these men have device a new method, and its simply to frustrate the lives of creative, hard working and innocent celebrities. Why would a man be stealing his wife’s money? Why would he be sleeping with another girl in an hotel room, and abandoning his wife at home for days? Why would your so called husband hit you or verbally and physically assault you? Why will he not have time for his wife and kid? but can be available for big parties, business meetings and friends? Lastly, why on earth would a man not pick his wifes call, or even reply her text and calls for days? Why do you treat her like a visitor in your heart? I shed a lot of tears seeing all these gorgeous women going through hell in their marriages, the painful part is that nobody really sees the big hole dug on the wall of their heart, nobody sees how much it bleeds uncontrollably. Infact, nobody cares to know, all they do is to judge and lay blames unnecessarily . May God arise and fight for our Nigerian women, who have been relegated into the pit of single motherhood. God will punish all evil men this 2017″
