Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has visited the camp of the Super Eagles who are currently training for their qualifying match against Algeria. Osinbajo arrived shortly after 6pm on Tuesday and watched the players train and spoke briefly with them.

Meanwhile, Leon Balogun and Brown Ideye missed training on Tuesday. Both Balogun and Ideye had a light workout with the rest of the squad in the morning, but didn’t do more than that as they watched the rest of the team continue with the session.

Algeria team is to face Nigeria in a Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier  and will fly straight to Uyo on Thursday.A source in Algiers informed that the Algeria contingent will fly to the Akwa Ibom State capital on a chartered plane, two days before the key qualifier.

“The team will leave Algeria at 9 GMT (10am Nigerian time) on Thursday and arrive in Nigeria in the evening,” the source said. “They’re planning to take a direct flight to Uyo.”
