The norm of pouring water or other form of liquid substance on students by friends or loved ones has already become a norm in Nigeria.
It’s often a fun way of celebrating the individual for successfully completing the hectic years of schooling.
This is what led to the fresh graduate of Imo state university who fell into a soak away pit while trying to avoid been poured dirty water by his friends.
It was really a sad accident as it was said that the dirty water from the soak away was passing a light current because it’s been dug beside a transformer where earth-wire is been buried.
I think this should be a wakeup call to those that are fond of engaging in things like this despite the fact that such form of celebration has been bound in Nigerian universities.
