Evangelist Ebenezer Remilekun Aremu Olasupo Obey-Fabiyi often times called ‘Grand Commander’ of juju music in Nigeria is 73 years. The dark-skinned gospel musician was born April 3rd, 1942 in the South Western state of Ondo, Nigeria.

He learnt his trade under the late Fatai Rolling Dollar after moving to Lagos in the 1950s. He formed his band, ‘The International Brothers’, in 1964. The band was reformed into ‘Inter-Reformers’ later, playing the genre, Highlife-Juju fusion. He became more prominent when he started praising the celebrities in the Yoruba social circles.

He ended his ties with the secular music scene and became a gospel artiste in 1992 under the ministration of Late Archbishop Benedict Idahosa on his 50th Birthday in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
