It’s no news that popular Nollywood actor and sports journalist, Jide Alabi, who left acting for about six years to focus on his journalism profession, is back to the screen.

Jide quit acting in 2010 to become the Manager, Radio programmes Rhythm 93.7 FM, and sports presenter on both Rhythm 93.7 FM and Silverbird Television and has also won some awards to his credit.

Acting has always been part of him and that has always been his belief which is why he decided to stage a comeback just to bring in some new ideas into the existing ones.

The actor recently disclosed that he did not quit acting but only stepped aside for a while and coming back, people needs to see what the industry has to offer.

“I did not quit acting, I only stepped aside for a while and I am back. Change is coming the way of the industry and that you need to watch out for. We have a lot to offer and new ideas is what we are bringing,” he whispered to a friend who asked him what has kept him so long.

He noted that there have been tremendous changes in the Nollywood industry and people who are familiar with the industry need to watch how the change is going to happen.
