Being married to a billionaire puts you in an exclusive league. With a population of just 1,800 billionaires on earth, you have a chance of landing one to walk down the aisle with you.

So it is understandable when we fight to have a slice of the otherwise scarce cake. Even more so when fight to keep the cake that is already on our saucer. But drama between Sylvia Nduka, Dabota Lawson and Sunny Aku has gone beyond what words can describe as honourable fighting.

For those that are veteran social media followers of Dabota Lawson, they will have been privy to the reality TV drama from the start till the rolling of credits. From the shock of a budding relationship between the beauty diva and the elderly businessman Sunny, to the marriage and consequent constant showing off of TLC, to the moment when the cracks started to appear and culminating to when Dabota called out Sylvia for sleeping with her now soon-to-be ex-husband.

Going by what has been revealed to the public, the trio would have been found guilty at a moral court. Sunny the husband for violating the marital bed and by extension disrespecting the wife he took an oath to love always. Dabota the wife for acting without class and airing the dirty laundry in public. Sylvia the mistress for doing the nasty with a married man while playing friends with the wife.

For lack of such a court, all parties have been left to the devices much to the delight of Nigerian’s thirst for drama. Sunny Aku can do nothing to correct the wrongs but sit quietly and watch, doing his best not to stoke an already blazing fire. Some say the man always escapes without any responsibility to correct the wrong. I’m afraid that this one will also be one of those cases. For Dabota and Sylvia, the work on rebuilding relationships rests squarely on their shoulder. What has happened has already irrevocably happened. But how the friends of their children, nieces and nephews talk about it is up to the both for them. For me, I will tell them to let bygones be bygones and quench that thirst to be defined by a relationship with a billionaire. How about exploring people that make up the remaining chance out there?
