One pastor Raji Michael Ayoola, has been arraigned before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos for attempting to export banned narcotics.

The National Drugs Laws Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) disclosed this on Wednesday.

It was gathered that the 60-years-old father of six planned with some people to illegally push out 91 kilograms of Methamphetamine, a psychotropic substance, and 83 kilograms of Ephedrine, a controlled substance.

The Prosecution counsel, Mr. Abu Ibrahim, told the court that the said drugs were similar to cocaine and heroin in effect.

The alleged offence is punishable under sections 14(b) and 11(b) of the NDLEA Law of 2004.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Mr. A. Anadianei a forensic expert who was at the trial on Wednesday said he tested the powdery substances and confirmed they were banned narcotics.

Justice Jude Dagat adjourned till November 18 and 24 for hearing.
